Sky’s First Plane Ride

Sky’s first airplane ride was egg-saus-ting! We thought we had it down the first hour because she was so quiet, just looking around. But once the second hour hit, she started to get fussy because she was getting tired. She continued to make lots of noises. She only ended up napping for an hour. The next three hours, she was up and continued to make loud noises and crying. Although a few of the things we brought with us helped with entertaining her, we couldn’t control her tiredness.

We ended up not doing what we planned for the day we landed because of how tired we were. But we couldn’t even get a nap in because my daughter continued to fuss and cry. Fortunately, she was so worn out from the day that she was able to sleep through the night. Which means we were able to have a good amount of rest as well.

We’re dreading for the flight back to the mainland. Some people gave us a few tips on how to calm her down so we’re hoping it helps. In the meantime, here’s a photo of her in the beginning of the flight, when she’s in a good mood.
