Meet Baby Sky Sky and Her Pierced Ears!!!
Meet Skylar! Baby girl turned 6 months on the 27th of October. It's family tradition on her dad's side to get the girls ears pierced when they turn 6 months old. Unfortunately, we couldn't get it done right on the 27th because of the bad air quality from the California fires, and it was extra windy that day... it was just to dangerous to be out that day. But the next weekend, while I was at work, to my surprise, I got this photo from my in-laws. She's sooo cute I could cry!!! It doesn't seem to be bothering her so that's a plus. She's also feeling so much better than the previous week since she was sick. She's also back to sleeping through the night, which means daddy and I also get our sleep back. Boy, was last week a rough one.

ReplyDeleteIs it an American tradition?
ReplyDeleteI am so surprised because getting pierced and wearing piercings are prohibited by school regulations in Japan.
Japanese people usually do not get pierced until graduating high school.
It is a nice tradition!
Your baby is so adorable!! It’s also a family tradition for my family to have your baby girl’s ear pierced at a young age too! If I can remember, my sisters & I had our ears pierced since we were 4 months old. If I had a daughter, I would be so excited to go get her ears pierced.
